About Eco-Pork America
Eco-Pork America Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Eco-Pork Co., Ltd. (Tokyo), an AgriTech company building computer vision and SaaS solutions for the swine industry. Our products include an AI-based pig weight estimation camera system and a cloud production management platform. We are an early-stage team moving from pilot deployments into commercial operations.
Role Summary
The Associate Field Account Manager is the entry point into Eco-Pork America's Field Operations track. You will work alongside the Field Account Manager on our farm and packer accounts across the Midwest: on site with the customer, running the assigned pieces of onboarding and trials, keeping the account record accurate, and bringing back what the customer is actually experiencing.
This is a field role, not an inside sales role. Producers decide whether a technology is worth paying for by whether it changes something in their barn, and you will spend your time where that gets decided. You work alongside Field Solutions Engineers, who own the technical outcome at each site, while the account relationship stays with Field Operations throughout.
At this level you are not asked to own the account or to make commitments to customers. You are asked to execute your part of it reliably, document it, and grow into running accounts yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow each site's bio-security protocol, and plan your visits and downtime around it.
- Execute assigned account tasks under the direction of the Field Account Manager, and keep the account plan materials current as the work progresses.
- Support customer onboarding and trial execution: scheduling, site logistics, training sessions, and tracking the agreed success criteria.
- Run scheduled customer touchpoints, follow up on open items from previous visits, and help customers use the data in their day-to-day decisions.
- Take first-line customer issues, resolve what is within your scope, and escalate the rest to the Field Account Manager with the information needed to act.
- Keep account records and the CRM (customer database) accurate and current, and prepare the documentation and materials the account work runs on.
- Collect the data and customer feedback our product, AI, and go-to-market teams need, to the specification they need it in, and report customer signals in structured form.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in agriculture, animal science, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Full professional proficiency in English — able to hold conversations with producers and plant staff on site, explain clearly to people who are not technology users, and write reports and account notes without assistance
Comfort working hands-on in livestock production and processing environments, including regular presence in active barns
Valid U.S. driver's license, or the ability to obtain one before your start date, and willingness to drive regularly to customer sites
Based in or willing to relocate to the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area; residence in Iowa or Minnesota may be considered where the site travel pattern allows
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to swine or livestock production, through work, family operation, coursework, or research
- Internship or work experience in agricultural services, account support, customer success, or field operations
- Experience keeping records, procedures, or trackers that other people worked from, in any context
- Comfort with spreadsheets, CRM tools, or working with operational data
- Spanish, which is widely spoken on farm crews in the region, or Japanese, which is used in our daily work with our team in Tokyo
What We Look For
Brings structure to ambiguous situations rather than waiting for detailed instructions
Follows through on what was promised, and says so early when something will not land
Communicates clearly with producers and plant staff on their terms, not in product language
Curious about how a customer's operation actually makes money, not only about our product
Working Conditions
- Driving to customer sites is an essential function of this position.
- This position requires satisfactory results from a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review, conducted following a conditional offer of employment.
- Work is performed in barns, production facilities, and processing plants, including exposure to variable temperatures, noise, odor, and dust.
- Requires adherence to customer bio-security protocols, including downtime and shower-in/shower-out procedures at some sites.
- Frequent overnight travel to farm and packer sites across the Upper Midwest.
- Small, distributed team, working in a bilingual (English/Japanese) environment with regular coordination with our product and engineering team in Tokyo.
- Reports to the CEO, or to the Field Account Manager once that position is filled.
Growth Path
This is the entry level of the Field Operations track, with a path to Field Account Manager — the person who runs assigned accounts end to end to a paying, stable outcome. What that step looks like in practice: carrying an account from handover through to conversion or renewal without the CEO in the loop on routine matters; the account plan surfacing risks before the customer raises them; and commercial recommendations that arrive evidenced and ready to approve. Progression depends on business needs as well as readiness.
