Associate General Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Build and manage strong relationships with domestic and international investment banks, advisors, global funds, restructuring desks, and other intermediaries to source proprietary and semi-proprietary deal opportunities globally.
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisitions (including greenfield projects), special situations, stressed/distressed assets, and financial restructuring opportunities across ports, logistics, transportation, and allied infrastructure sectors globally.
  • Lead end-to-end deal structuring, including financial structuring (debt and equity) and tax structuring.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Strategy, Treasury, Legal, Tax, and Operations to ensure seamless deal execution.
  • Manage cross-border due diligence, negotiations, transaction documentation, regulatory approvals, and deal closures with international stakeholders.
  • Prepare investment notes, valuation models, and Board/Investment Committee presentations.
  • Track global sector trends, capital flows, and restructuring opportunities relevant to the organization’s growth agenda.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of M&A, corporate finance, valuation, and transaction execution.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, investment analysis, and deal structuring.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in managing cross-border transactions and complex deal processes.
  • CA or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution.
  • Relevant experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Infrastructure Investments, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory.
