Associate- Tunnelling & Geotechnical
A strong academic background with bachelor's degree in civil engineering plus master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
Should have proven previous experience of TBM & NATM Tunnel designs for soft rocks and mixed ground
Ability to lead project teams.
Experience in the delivery of geotechnical projects, including preparing reports to a high technical level. Understanding of client requirements. Effectively manage and deliver project work with robust project financial management.
Working knowledge with large scale infrastructure projects
Min. 16+ years of relevant design experience in a consulting environment.
Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with international clients.
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check
Knowledge of Finite Element modelling tool and application like Plaxis 2D & 3D, Rocscience Phase2 etc.
Undertake own continuing professional development and that of others, including representing the geotechnical team at technical conferences and seminars.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering plus master's degree in Geotechnical or equivalent is preferred.
Strong understanding of Engineering Geology and Tunnel design and Construction Methods.
Numerical modelling software experience for design of staged excavations is preferred.
Sufficient post-graduation experience, with a significant proportion gained with an engineering design company undertaking the design of tunnels or related infrastructure in Soft Ground and Hard Ground.
