Associate HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is an experienced HR professional with a strong specialization in administering UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready). The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR functions. This role involves handling day-to-day HR tasks, such as recruiting, onboarding, orientation, employment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, or other special projects ensuring compliance with company policies, and leveraging UKG Ready to enhance HR processes and facilitate the employee experience through the delivery of HR services as appropriate.
The Associate HR Generalist serves as a resource to employees and managers while supporting the Director of Human Resources and Senior HR Generalist in delivering HR services to approximately 175 employees located across multiple states.
Essential Functions:
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruitment, job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating onboarding activities, compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Coordinate new employee orientation activities.
• Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
• Process employment changes including transfers promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
• Assist with benefits enrollment and employee inquiries.
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of UKG Ready and serve as a backup UKG resource.
• Creates and composes correspondence; maintains records and statistics; Breakfast Club; analyzes and compiles data and information for reports; and prepares narrative or statistical reports.
• Facilitates intra-company communication (Hub, newsletter, etc.) and participates in company-wide initiatives regarding company culture and employee morale.
• Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Required Education and/or Work Experience:
• HR-related Associate’s degree or two+ years of relevant HR experience
• Company Administer level user of (HRIS) UKG Ready
• Strong computer skills
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification
• Professional experience in the healthcare field
• Multi-state employer experience
