Associate Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Associate Infrastructure Engineer to support the deployment, integration and maintenance of IoT and digital infrastructure systems for smart facilities. This role bridges Technology Operations and Development, involving both on-site system deployment and backend/system integration support. You will work closely with engineers to ensure reliable system performance across IoT devices, networks and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IoT Deployment & Technical Operations
- Assist in installation, setup and configuration of IoT devices, sensors and gateways
- Perform wiring, equipment setup and on-site system deployment
- Configure connectivity for sensor devices and gateways
- Conduct testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of deployed systems
2. System Integration & Support
- Support integration of IoT devices with backend platforms
- Assist in system configuration and connectivity between devices and platforms
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot basic integration issues
- Maintain proper documentation of system setup and configurations
3. DevOps & Backend Support
- Assist in hardware and firmware development
- Support scripting for automation and data handling
- Use Git for version control and collaboration
- Support deployment and updates of applications and services
4. Testing, Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Perform system testing, debugging and issue resolution
- Support preventive maintenance for deployed IoT systems
- Assist in prototype development and field trials
- Provide feedback to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability
Job Requirement:
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics or Engineering,
- Good electronics background and familiar with Arduino/ Microcontroller and connectivity,
- Programming knowledge in C, C++ and Python language is an advantage,
- Good experience on setting up Arduino IDE for sensor testing,
- Good understanding on IoT data formatting, generation, management & processing and comfortable working with Git for version control,
- Hands-on electronics assembly, soldering, diagnosis,
- Self-motivated, problem-solver and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
