Purpose of the job:

The Junior Integration Engineer supports the development, testing, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise integrations using MuleSoft and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role assists with API, application, and data integrations to enable reliable information exchange between business systems. The position provides an opportunity to develop integration expertise while supporting the stability and continuous improvement of Ventura Foods' integration platform

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Integration Development & Support – Develop, test, and maintain integrations using MuleSoft and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) under the guidance of senior engineers.

Monitoring & Issue Resolution – Monitor integration processes, troubleshoot failures, support incident resolution, and participate in production support activities.

Testing & Documentation – Execute unit testing, assist with deployment activities, and maintain integration documentation and technical specifications.

Business & Team Collaboration – Work with application teams, business analysts, and senior engineers to support integration requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.

0-2 years of experience in application integration, software development, or related technical roles.

Basic understanding of APIs, web services, and system integration concepts.

Exposure to MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), or similar integration platforms through coursework, internships, certifications, or work experience.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Knowledge and skill level:

MuleSoft (Basic) – Ability to develop and support simple integrations and APIs.

Oracle Integration Cloud (Basic) – Understanding of integration flows, connections, and monitoring.

API & Integration Concepts (Basic) – Knowledge of REST services, XML, and JSON.

Troubleshooting (Basic) – Ability to analyze logs and resolve integration issues.

Cloud & Enterprise Applications (Basic) – Familiarity with SaaS applications and cloud integration concepts.

Communication & Teamwork – Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
