Summary
Application support associate (3-5 yrs) keeping Trade Operations test environments running: handling Control-M job scheduling and failures, analyzing JBoss/Tomcat logs, writing shell scripts and SQL, supporting Jenkins deployments, and resolving incidents, with some Java coding and Git work in a banking trade-finance context.
Summary: The primary objective of this role is to provide operational maintenance services for the Trade Operations IS test environments, ensuring smooth operations and incident resolution to support the development and business teams.
Main Responsibilities:
Control-M Management: Understanding job scheduling, dependencies, and handling job failures.
Log Analysis: Analyze application and server logs (e.g., from JBoss/Tomcat) to diagnose issues.
Shell Scripting: Write and execute Shell scripts for automation and routine tasks.
SQL Operations: Execute SQL queries for data retrieval and basic troubleshooting.
Deployment Support: Assist in application deployments using tools like Jenkins.
Incident Resolution: Investigate and resolve production incidents.
Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
Documentation: Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge bases.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements.
Version Control: Utilize Git for version control processes.
Java Coding: Write clean and efficient Java code.
CI/CD Experience: Gain experience with CI/CD principles using Jenkins.
Key Requirements:
Programming & Scripting: Java (Java 8+), bash/Shell Scripting, SQL / PL-SQL
CI/CD & Release Automation: Jenkins, GIT
Application Support Experience: Proven experience in Application Support or DevSecOps Engineering within a complex enterprise environment.
Communication Skills: Strong collaborative skills for effective interaction with international teams.
