Associate Lecturer - CSE 115- Introduction to Computer Science I (HE4)

Summary

Teach introductory computer science, covering programming fundamentals and problem-solving, to university students using a prescribed syllabus.

CSE 115- Introduction to Computer Science I

Provides the fundamentals of computer science with an emphasis on applying programming skills to solve problems and increase human efficiency. Topics include variables, data types, expressions, control flow, functions, input/output, data storage, networking, security, selection, sorting, iteration and the use of aggregate data structures such as lists and more general collections. No previous programming experience required.

Job Requirement

• A Ph.D or Master's Degree in related discipline from a reputable university.

• At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred

• 5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage

• Course design and implementation based on UB syllabus and textbook

• Assessment of students

• Must be available to teach daytime on weekdays

• Familiarity with Blackboard/ D2L is a plus
