Associate Manager, A&R Administration
Universal Music Latino is the world’s leading Latin entertainment company with operations in the United States and Mexico. How you’ll CREATE:
· Coordinate all vendor maintenance activity, including vendor updates, vendor adds, guiding users through the Uniport portal registration process, collaborate with the Financial Services’ Vendor Team, familiarize yourself with all UMG Accounts Payable policies and procedures, and act as the primary contact for new payees associated with new artist deals.
· Manage the Demo/Showcase projects and administer all associated costs via collaboration with the A&R Teams.
· Assist the Department with inputting Purchase Order Requests into the Uniport system and ensure timely approvals to ensure we adhere to the corporate PO policy.
· Act as the primary delegate within our proprietary systems when Administrators are out of the office to ensure consistency in workflow.
· Become familiar with the ‘Delivery’ process and help the A&R Admin team with securing the paperwork required for rights and clearances.
· Assist with the coordination of meetings with other departments to roll out new procedures, develop handouts, and train new hires who join the A&R departments, etc.
· Answer phones, manage and maintain calendar, meeting requests, travel, and expenses
· Aid the team with various research and special projects, as required.
· Be ready and willing to jump in to high pressure situations to ensure deadlines and department goals are met. Overtime may be required.
· If needed support in songwriting camps and A&R creative matters.
Bring your VIBE:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not required
· 2-3 years Music Industry legal/licensing/admin experience.
· Familiarity with recording agreements is a plus.
· Excellent typing and computer skills, including in Word, Excel, Outlook.
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
· Highly dependable and can be relied upon to complete tasks independently.
· Willingness to proactively secure and deliver information, as required
· Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure; highly adaptable to varying conditions.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize
· Ability to work as a team player
· Ability to interact with all level of employees
· Ability to perform research, summarize info and report back findings.
· Ability to meet tight deadlines, safeguard confidential information, and work overtime as required.
