Associate Manager (AM), Treasury
We are looking for a Treasury - Assistant Manager to join our
Finance team, responsible for managing treasury operations across our Indian
entity (PlaySimple Games Limited) and our Singapore entity (PlaySimple Games
Pte. Limited). This is a high-visibility role reporting to the Senior Director
- Financial Controllership, sitting at the intersection of cash management,
foreign exchange, banking relationships, and regulatory compliance.
As the company scales towards an IPO, the treasury function is
being institutionalised with a focus on optimising liquidity, managing
cross-border fund flows, and strengthening compliance with FEMA, RBI and other
local regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a sharp understanding of
treasury operations in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment, and will
play a central role in building the treasury infrastructure to support the
company's next phase of growth.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Monitor daily cash positions
across India and Singapore entities; prepare short-term and medium-term cash
flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and strategic
commitments.
- Banking Relationships: Manage relationships with banking
partners in India and Singapore; negotiate banking products, fees, and credit
facilities; oversee bank account structures and authorisation matrices.
- Foreign Exchange Management: Monitor foreign currency exposures
arising from intercompany transactions, vendor payments, and revenue receipts;
execute FX hedges (forwards, options) in compliance with FEMA and RBI
guidelines; maintain hedging documentation.
- Intercompany Fund Flows: Manage intercompany remittances between
India and Singapore, including upstream/downstream loans, dividend
repatriation, and operational transfers; ensure compliance with pricing at
arm's length and applicable regulatory approvals.
- FEMA & RBI Compliance (India): Ensure timely filing of
Softex forms via EDPMS for software export realisations; manage Form 145/146
for outward remittances; support RBI reporting requirements including FIRMS
filings; liaise with AD banks on FEMA matters.
- MAS Compliance (Singapore): Ensure adherence to Monetary
Authority of Singapore (MAS) requirements applicable to treasury and fund
transfer activities; support statutory reporting for the Singapore entity.
- Investment Management: Manage short-term deployment of surplus
funds in approved instruments; ensure returns optimisation within the treasury
policy framework approved by the Board.
- Treasury Reporting & MIS: Prepare weekly and monthly
treasury MIS including cash flow actuals vs. forecasts, FX exposure reports,
and investment summaries for senior management and the Board.
- Internal Controls & Policies: Develop and maintain treasury
policies, SOPs, and delegation-of-authority frameworks; support internal and
external audits on treasury-related areas; identify process improvement
opportunities.
- IPO Readiness Support: Support finance leadership on
treasury-related workstreams for the IPO, including escrow management,
use-of-proceeds tracking, and investor-related fund flows.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed
institution; additional treasury certification (AFP CTP or equivalent) is an
advantage.

- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in treasury, with at
least 2 years handling treasury operations in a multi-entity or cross-border
environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of FEMA, RBI
regulations (Softex, EDPMS, AD bank processes), and foreign exchange
management; familiarity with Singapore MAS regulations preferred.
- FX & Hedging: Hands-on experience in foreign currency risk
management and execution of hedging instruments; understanding of hedge
accounting under Ind AS 109 / IFRS 9 is preferred.
- Banking & Cash Management: Practical experience managing
bank relationships, liquidity structures, and bank reconciliation oversight
across multiple accounts.
- Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems; strong Excel/financial
modelling skills; experience with treasury management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills;
ability to engage with banks, auditors, consultants, and senior leadership
effectively.
