Associate Manager Data Center Operations
You oversee data center operations onsite near Odessa Texas and ensure 24 7 uptime. You lead maintenance activities and teams develop and execute preventive maintenance plans train technicians and manage vendor and contractor relationships. You collaborate with IT HR Networking and Software to implement fixes and improvements while promoting safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of data center operations including personnel, equipment, and infrastructure
- Mentor, train, and develop technicians to support daily operations with minimal supervision
- Manage purchasing and inventory control across all data center assets
- Identify and resolve time sensitive issues under pressure
- Create, manage, and execute preventative maintenance plans for data center equipment
- Develop and maintain critical vendor and contractor relationships
- Collaborate with IT HR Networking and Software departments to implement fixes and improvements
- Promote a merit based recognition and rewards culture
- Ensure safety, security, and compliance in all data center operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a critical infrastructure environment; related military experience considered
- Background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred
- Strong leadership qualities and hands on technical experience
- Understanding of office programs and computer hardware
- Experience with commercial mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with IT related infrastructure maintenance is desired but can be acquired
- Forklift license preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must pass a motor vehicle check
- Must have own reliable transportation to and from work site
- Must live within a 1 hour commute from the designated work site location
