Associate Manager - Indirect Procurement

WHAT WE’LL NEED

The Associate Manager, Indirect Procurement is a key member of the Supply Chain Indirect team. This role supports sourcing and supplier management across indirect categories, including but not limited to: construction process related services, consulting and finance services; travel and events; HR and employee services; marketing and agencies professional services; corporate services; and applicable restaurant services.

Working with the Indirect Procurement team, the role contributes to category plans, coordinates sourcing activity, and helps deliver measurable value through cost optimization, service quality, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and process improvement. The position supports procurement activity across a portfolio representing more than $200 million in professional services spend and partners with Construction, Marketing, HR, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Legal, Commercial, and other corporate teams to align procurement activity with business priorities and Wingstop's continued growth.

Role Responsibilities

Category Planning & Sourcing

  • Contribute to category and sourcing plans across marketing, HR, finance, corporate services, restaurant services, and other assigned indirect categories.

  • Coordinate RFI, RFP, and RFQ activities, including requirements gathering, market research, supplier evaluation, bid analysis, and negotiation preparation.

  • Prepare market assessments, spend analyses, and total cost of ownership models to support sourcing decisions.

  • Identify cost, service, process, and supplier-base improvement opportunities across assigned spend.

Supplier & Contract Support

  • Support commercial discussions and the development of contracts, statements of work, and service-level agreements.

  • Maintain productive supplier relationships and coordinate supplier performance reviews and QBR materials.

  • Monitor supplier performance, risk, and compliance with contractual commitments; follow up on agreed actions.

  • Partner with Legal and business stakeholders to review and route agreements through established approval processes.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with Marketing, HR, Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other teams to understand business needs and timelines.

  • Translate business requirements into clear sourcing documentation, evaluation criteria, and procurement workplans.

  • Provide practical procurement guidance and encourage consistent use of sourcing processes and controls.

Analytics, Performance & Governance

  • Use AI tools, BI reporting, and spend data to identify opportunities, evaluate suppliers, and track business results.

  • Track and report savings, service, risk, and supplier performance metrics for assigned categories.

  • Follow procurement policies, controls, and approval requirements while helping improve tools, templates, and workflows.

  • Support contract maintenance and scalable procurement practices as the Indirect Procurement function grows.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Ideally 2-3 years of experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably involving professional services.

  • Foodservice, restaurant, or QSR experience is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier evaluation, commercial terms, contracts, statements of work, and SLAs.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including market assessment, spend analysis, bid comparison, and cost modeling.

  • Proficiently use Microsoft Excel, procurement systems, BI reporting, and most importantly AI-enabled tools to organize and analyze information and automate tasks.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and priorities.

  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, organization, and practical problem-solving skills.

  • A collaborative, service-minded approach and willingness to learn, take initiative, and follow through on commitments.
