Associate Manager, Sales

Job Summary

We are hiring an Associate Manager, Sales, to support commercial growth and customer relationship management within the chemicals and petrochemical sectors at Advario.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers by understanding their business needs and identifying opportunities for service expansion and value creation
  • Deliver high customer satisfaction through responsive, solution-oriented engagement and act as the key contact for assigned accounts
  • Develop and recommend contract renewals, retention initiatives, and commercial proposals including pricing, contract structure, and escalation mechanisms
  • Identify, qualify, and support pursuit of new business opportunities in chemicals, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, and related sectors
  • Participate actively in customer meetings, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations to secure favorable outcomes
  • Coordinate implementation of new customer opportunities and product onboarding activities to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, customer requirements, and competitor activities to inform commercial strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align project coordination and stakeholder management for customer implementation projects

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial, sales, business development, account management, or related roles within chemical, petrochemical, tank storage, terminals, logistics, or energy industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through effective commercial decision-making
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
  • Experience working with industrial customers and managing customer implementation projects is advantageous

Location and Working Hours

  • Primary work location: Jurong Island, with periodic travel to off-site locations for meetings
  • Official working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
