Associate Manager Tactical Operations

You will lead the on-site activation of new endpoints, establish operational processes, and manage launch-phase activities. You will implement and improve playbooks, resolve operational and customer issues, hire and train local staff, and transition each site to an independent permanent team.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site setup of new endpoints
• Develop launch and site operations playbooks
• Implement and enforce operations playbooks and SOPs
• Manage day-to-day launch operations and resolve issues
• Hire, onboard, and train local operations staff
• Mentor permanent teams and transition site ownership
• Provide feedback on playbook effectiveness and process improvements

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in terminal operations, logistics, or site management, including people management
• Understanding of terminal workflows, endpoint setup, and operational playbooks
• Ability to lead, train, and develop teams
• Problem-solving skills
• Customer relationship management skills
• Willingness to travel and deploy to new sites for 3–6 months
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, trucking, transportation, or logistics
• Experience launching a new site, terminal, or facility
• Continuous improvement methods including Lean, Six Sigma, standard work, and root-cause analysis
• Experience building frontline operations teams
• Experience with operational data and BI tools including Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI
