Associate Network and Security Engineer (Trainee)

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated TraineeAssociate Network and Security Engineer to join our Enterprise IT Services team in Noida. The ideal candidate should have a strong theoretical understanding of networking and security concepts, along with practical exposure through academic projects, internships, lab-based training, or professional experience.

The candidate will support enterprise network and security operations under the guidance of senior team members and gain hands-on experience with network switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting network switches and firewalls.
• Support enterprise network and security operations under supervision.
• Develop an understanding of firewall technologies and SD-WAN operations.
• Assist with basic network configurations and troubleshooting activities.
• Support network documentation, audits, and configuration reviews.
• Apply networking and security concepts learned through academic projects, internships, and certifications.
• Participate in structured on-the-job training (OJT) and mentoring.
• Follow network security best practices and standard operating procedures.

Required Technical Skills

1. Networking Concepts

• VLAN, VTP, STP, and EtherChannel
• Layer 2 security fundamentals
• HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP concepts
• Static routing and default routing
• Basic understanding of OSPF and BGP
• NAT, ACL, PBR, and GRE concepts

2. Network Security

• Firewall fundamentals and basic troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of SD-WAN
• Network security principles and best practices
• Basic knowledge of network access control and traffic filtering

3. Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNP certification
• Academic projects or internship experience in networking
• Hands-on practice using networking labs or simulation tools
• Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Willingness to learn enterprise networking and security technologies

Education

B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related discipline.

Candidate Profile

• Candidates with 1+ year of relevant experience in networking or network security.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internships, academic projects, or lab-based training may also be considered, subject to the hiring requirements.
• Strong fundamentals in networking and security concepts.
• Good communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work from the Noida office.
