Associate Procurement Manager
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
Reporting to the SR Procurement Manager and based at our Gurgaon HO, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for the Indian market for assigned categories . Your mandate includes full-lifecycle category ownership of HVC items such as Graphics, specialty Tapes, and niche portfolios. Key priorities involve scouting and qualifying technology-driven partners while managing the comprehensive execution of toller operations. You will be responsible for designing strategic ecosystem roadmaps, partnering with R&D and PLT to onboard new technology, optimizing TCO, and conducting complex commercial negotiations to secure long-term business objectives.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
STRATEGIC CATEGORY & HVC PORTFOLIO LEADERSHIP
End-to-End Category Sourcing: Drive full-lifecycle procurement strategies for Graphics, Tape solutions, and high-value portfolios, ensuring robust supply security and optimized cost structures.
Partner Scouting & Qualification: Execute proactive identification and evaluation of alternative global and regional raw material sources to mitigate risk and enhance business continuity for HVC portfolios.
Toller Operations Management: Direct the comprehensive execution and lifecycle management of toll coating partners focused on delivering finished and semi-finished specialty materials.
Ecosystem Roadmap Design: Collaborate with leadership to build a resilient, agile network of strategic suppliers and tolling partners capable of scaling with New Product Introductions (NPI).
TECHNICAL SOURCING & COMMERCIAL NEGOTIATION
Technology Onboarding: Work alongside R&D and PLT to identify commercialized technologies, performing technical capability audits and qualifying new supplier ecosystems for the business.
Complex Commercial Execution: Command complex negotiations involving Raw Material Indexing (RMI), tolling structures, yield-loss agreements, and long-term volume commitments to drive value.
Performance & Compliance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs for partners to ensure continuous improvements in yield optimization, lead-time reduction, TCO, and quality governance.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ALIGNMENT & GOVERNANCE
Internal Stakeholder Synergy: Synchronize with regional and global category heads to ensure that external supply and tolling capacity are perfectly aligned with commercial demand forecasts.
Operational Governance: Facilitate formal Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and audits with key suppliers and tollers to ensure accountability and drive collaborative innovation.
Education: Technical degree (B.E. / B.Tech) or similar background; a postgraduate qualification (MBA) specializing in Operations, Global Trade, or Supply Chain is preferred.
Professional Experience: At least five years of relevant background in strategic sourcing, category management, or partner development.
Analytical & Commercial Skills: Strong focus on business outcomes with the capacity to evaluate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and implement data-driven efficiency improvements.
Influence & Relationship Management: Outstanding communication abilities with a track record of partnering effectively with R&D, PLT, and senior leadership to drive results.
Governance & Contracts: Comprehensive knowledge of legal frameworks, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), NDAs, and standard commercial language.
Technical Literacy: Competency in modern ERP systems and advanced data visualization or analysis using tools like Google Workspace .
