Associate Professor of Mathematics
Position Overview
Wiley University invites applications for a full-time faculty position supporting our undergraduate mathematics programs. We seek a dedicated scholar-educator passionate about delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics and helping students develop strong quantitative reasoning skills. Candidates with expertise in various areas of mathematics are encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Teach undergraduate courses in mathematics, which may include College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, and/or Mathematics for Elementary Teachers
- Utilize effective pedagogical strategies to engage diverse learners and promote conceptual understanding alongside computational proficiency
- Provide academic mentoring and professional guidance to support student development and mathematical confidence
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment practices, and continuous program improvement
- Actively participate in departmental, college, and university service activities
- Engage in ongoing scholarship and professional development to maintain disciplinary currency and pedagogical effectiveness
- Report to the Department Chair or designated administrator and contribute to departmental goals
