Associate Project Manager

An exciting entry-level opportunity with Filamatic, a leading manufacturer of liquid filling machinery systems for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, diagnostic, and cannabis industries. The Associate Project Manager will work alongside experienced Project Managers and internal stakeholders through the entire project lifecycle - from initial order through installation at the customer’s site. This is an ideal role for a recent college graduate looking to launch a project management career in advanced manufacturing, with structured mentorship and a clear path toward growing project ownership over time.

This position reports to the Project Manager and is based onsite at our Baltimore, MD facility.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in the successful execution of the 4 major elements of industrial machinery manufacturing and installation projects: Budget, Timeline, Scope / Performance Specifications, and Customer Experience.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and milestone trackers in MS Project, in coordination with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Track and report on all elements of assigned projects, including cost, resources, materials, and equipment, and alert the project team of any potential issues that could put successful completion at risk.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, purchasing, and quality) to keep projects moving toward each critical milestone.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, action item logs, and customer-facing updates.
  • Support customer communications and help ensure a positive customer experience from order entry through installation.
  • Learn Filamatic’s product lines, internal processes, and project management methodology.
  • Take on increasing levels of project ownership and responsibility as experience is gained.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Foundational knowledge of project management principles (relevant coursework, internship experience, or CAPM certification is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with project management software such as MS Project.
  • Fast learner with technical savvy and the ability to quickly ramp up on new software and systems.
  • Eager to take on new challenges and grow within the role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with people with varied skillsets and personality types.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • High mechanical aptitude or a strong interest in industrial machinery and manufacturing.

Compensation and Benefits



Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
per year



Benefits: 3 weeks of annual vacation, 10 paid holidays, 401(k) with company contribution, parental leave, and comprehensive health (3 plan options), dental, and vision coverage. Eligibility for insurance begins the first of the month following your first day of employment. Eligibility for 401(k) begins the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
