Associate Research Analyst, Research
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Creation, maintenance and updating of financial models of coverage companies
Creation and maintenance of industry databases in semiconductors, software and technology hardware.
Writing research draft reports for review and edits by senior analyst
Writing primers in technical topics related to the coverage
Scouting for interesting academic research, blogs and industry publications that can add value to the research product
Exploring new areas of development in technology, especially in fields linked to AI
Answering client requests for data related to companies under coverage or industry
Bespoke analysis based on client requests
Answering questions from CLSA/CITIC sales and trading teams
Requirements
Master’s (preferred)/Bachelor’s (minimum) degree or above in engineering/business disciplines
No minimum work experience needed.
Extensive command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Proficiency in written articulation.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, alongside the ability to multi-task
Attention to details is a must for a career in equity research
Excellent command of / fluent in both spoken and written English
Open to feedback, ability to handle a steep learning curve, demanding schedules and deadlines
