About The Role

Flutterwave is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Associate, Risk Analytics to join our dynamic Risk team. As a fintech company operating in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations is paramount to our success.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between data and compliance. You will be responsible for building and maintaining risk reporting frameworks, analyzing complex datasets, and developing fraud detection models. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical toolkit, a keen understanding of financial regulations, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.

Required competency and skillset:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Accounting or a related quantitative field.

• Proven 2-4 years’ experience in risk analytics, compliance reporting, or data analysis within the financial services industry (Fintech experience is highly preferred).

• Strong command of data analysis and visualization tools, especially SQL, Python, Microsoft Excel, and PowerBI (DAX).

• Solid understanding of financial regulations, anti-fraud mechanisms, compliance requirements, and fintech industry best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to draw meaningful insights from raw data.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex, data-heavy concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• High attention to detail and the proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
