Purpose of the Job:
The role's main purpose is to handle the technical aspects of patent
applications. The role may require directly interfacing with the inventor(s) to
capture novel aspects of the invention. Further, the role may require searching
capability and delivering patentability search reports. The role also entails
team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding
technical disclosures across different technical domains.
- Conduct
and oversee various types of patent searches, including novelty, invalidity,
freedom-to-operate (FTO), landscape, state-of-the-art, and patentability
searches.
- Analyze
technical information to generate innovative ideas for product and strategy.
- Identification
of key/novel features from technical disclosures.
- Review
search reports and ensure high-quality and accurate deliverables
- Executing
patent landscape studies.
- Technical
support on client calls explaining outcome to the clients or inventors
- Working
on different patent databases, in addition, to performing searches on Google,
Google Scholar, Google patents, IEEE, ACM, Espacenet, and Freepatentsonline
Orbit, Patseer, etc. Knowledge of patent classification.
- To
handle any other reasonable task as specified by management.
Requirements
- B-tech
in CSE, ECE or another related domain with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on
experience in patent searching (FTO/ validity/Invalidity ) , and analytics.
- Strong
knowledge of patent search methodologies.
- Excellent
written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with clients and
teams.
- Proficiency
in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge
of AI tools in the market which can be utilized to increase productivity
- Ability
to work independently, manage multiple projects, and drive results.
