Job Overview

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, write clean and efficient code, troubleshoot technical issues, and support the delivery of high‑quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software modules and product features under the guidance of senior engineers while following established design and development practices.
  • Write clean, readable, maintainable, and high‑quality code that adheres to engineering standards and coding guidelines.
  • Participate in software design, code reviews, technical discussions, and implementation activities to deliver robust software solutions.
  • Analyze, debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects while supporting ongoing application maintenance and stability.
  • Investigate technical issues, understand system behavior, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions while evaluating technical trade‑offs.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, business analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality software.
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, communicate progress and challenges effectively, and contribute to team objectives.
  • Learn and apply software quality, security, performance, and engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop knowledge of healthcare workflows, business processes, and domain‑specific requirements to build effective healthcare software solutions.
  • Continuously enhance technical, professional, and problem‑solving skills while staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Utilize AI‑powered development tools responsibly to improve productivity, learning, and software development efficiency. Validate AI‑generated code and recommendations through critical analysis and testing while maintaining full engineering accountability for the quality, security, and correctness of delivered software.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Freshout or 0–1 year of experience required.
  • Basic understanding of one or more programming languages and software development concepts.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, SQL, or related technologies will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to development tools such as Visual Studio, SQL Server, Git, Team Foundation Server, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts and database fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and learning abilities.
  • IT healthcare domain knowledge will be preferable.
  • O/A Levels background will be preferred.
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
