Associate System Engineer “Associate Data Management Engineer

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of backup and data protection solutions.

• Configure and monitor backup jobs, backup policies, schedules, retention, storage policies, and backup copies.

• Support Commvault and Veeam environments and troubleshoot backup, restore, replication, and storage-related issues.

• Perform backup and restore operations and validate backup integrity and recovery readiness.

• Monitor backup infrastructure health, capacity, performance, and job status, and investigate failed or abnormal jobs.

• Assist with the configuration and management of backup storage, repositories, MediaAgents/backup proxies, and related components.

• Support disaster recovery, data recovery, and business continuity activities under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Assist in assessing system vulnerabilities and implementing approved remediation actions.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications :

• A solid & strong knowledge and awareness with core infrastructure services (network basic, Directory services, storage , backup, ……………).

• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, and basic troubleshooting of communication problem of wire/wireless devices.

• Good experience in administration and configuration of following products and technologies:

  • Commvault

  • Veeam

  • Backup Exec

  • Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure

  • Microsoft System Center Family

  • VMware vSphere

  • servers and storage and basic networking

Certificates:

• ITI or NTI certificate is an excellent advance.

• Relevant IT certificates will be a good plus.

• University Degree

Language:

• English | Excellent Writing and speaking

Skills:

· Very good communication and customer handling skills is a must.

· Reporting & Documentation skills is mandatory.

· Good adherence to company policies and procedures.

· Highly organized, works well in a team based environment.

· Ability to balance a number of conflicting priorities and make decisions.

· Must be able to maintain focus whilst under pressure.

· Good linguistic skills in both Arabic & English, verbal, reading and writing.

· Strong analytical skills.

· Ability to identify/analyses technical issues and develop solutions.
