Our local team focuses on Electronic Warfare (EW), developing and deploying solutions in Communication Intelligence (ComInt), Communication Electronic Support Measures (C-ESM), and Data Fusion. We work closely with Japanese partners and collaborate with our engineering teams in Germany to deliver high-quality solutions tailored to the local market.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure for system deployments, while supporting the delivery of high-quality solutions to our customers as a member of a global, collaborative engineering team.

  • Support the assessment of server hardware requirements, server setup, configuration, and deployment activities

  • Install, configure, and maintain applications in Linux-based environments

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis using system diagnostics and log files

  • Provide first-level technical support for customer systems during warranty and maintenance phases

  • Support product demonstrations together with the Application Engineering team

  • Assist in change management activities and maintain system documentation

  • Collaborate with internal teams and support communication with partners and customers

In close collaboration with local team members in Japan, international colleagues, and experts in Germany, you will contribute to the successful delivery of our programs in Japan. Throughout the system lifecycle—from development to production—you will work together with cross-functional teams, including Program Office, Software Development, Integration & Test, and Production.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent qualification)

  • Basic knowledge of server administration, networking, and Linux operating systems

  • Basic understanding of system architecture and ability to read technical documentation

  • Basic scripting or programming experience (e.g., Bash or Python in Linux environments)

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a structured environment

  • Communication skills: Japanese (business-level - for customer interaction & documentation), English (basic to intermediate level - for internal & global communication)

Desired:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Proxmox)

  • Experience with IT infrastructure setup, system integration, or technical support

  • Knowledge of communications systems or signal processing
