Associate Team Lead, EHS

Role Summary/Purpose:

• Impactful Role: Join our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team as an Associate Team lead, steering operational excellence, driving process innovation and ensuring seamless global regulatory compliance across our global product portfolio.

• Core Responsibility: Lead, review & oversee the end to end creation, maintenance & audit readiness of accurate and compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for our products & occupational hygiene.

• Regulatory Mastery: Deep Technical & strategic domain leadership in global chemical regulations. This is essential for accurately communicating product hazards and guaranteeing all information adheres to local, national, and international health and safety regulations.

• Brand Trust: Ensure robust quality standards, risk mitigation, and chemical safety compliance, reinforcing brand trust, product stewardship, and sustainable market access globally.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of regulatory analysts in authoring, reviewing, and updating SDS, CLP, and Dangerous Goods classifications across multiple regional jurisdictions.

• Execute deep regulatory hazard assessments and health effect evaluations in accordance with global hazardous chemical safety standards.

• Identify opportunities for operational optimization, leading automation initiatives for data extraction, hazard classification, and workflow intelligence.

• Partner closely with global cross-functional stakeholders to gather critical product data, align timelines, and solve complex regulatory bottlenecks.

• Maintain strong oversight on evolving global chemical laws, hazardous material shipping guidelines and chemical reporting mandates to proactively update system compliance.

• Drive rigorous quality control (QC) and audit protocols across authoring workflows, ensuring top-tier accuracy, data consistency, and seamless inspection readiness.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for complex internal and external inquiries regarding global product safety, chemical hazard classifications, and regulatory reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Environmental Health, or a related scientific discipline.

• 5+ years of core experience in global EHS, SDS authoring and occupational hygiene, with demonstrated technical depth in GHS and EU REACH regulations with 2-3 years of experience in people management.

• Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management with exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across diverse global teams.

• Extensive hands-on expertise with global regulatory compliance platforms and systems.

Preferred Qualifications (3-5 bullet points):

• A Master's degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry or a related scientific field is preferred.

• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Dangerous Goods (DG) certification (IATA/IMDG/DOT) is highly advantageous.

• Deep experience with SAP EHS / S/4HANA EHS software architecture and automated rule engine configurations.

• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.

• Prior supervisory, associate lead, or project leadership experience managing technical compliance teams in a global matrix organization.

• Proven track record of driving digital innovation projects that integrated AI into regulatory intelligence and risk assessment workflows.
