Associate Veterinarian

What you can expect at Holistic Veterinary Care:

• Time to understand your patients, with 60-minute new-patient consultations that allow for thorough assessment, meaningful client conversations and personalised treatment planning.
• An opportunity to discover your potential, with direct mentorship from Dr. Richter and support to pursue certification in the integrative modalities that interest you. Previous integrative experience is welcome, but not essential.
• A varied clinical caseload, including wellness care, medical consultations, diagnostics, bloodwork, radiography, dentistry and sedated procedures, alongside integrative treatment and rehabilitation cases.
• Tools that broaden your clinical options, including hyperbaric oxygen, an underwater treadmill, a therapy pool, shockwave and laser therapies, regenerative treatments, digital radiography, in-house diagnostics and a full dentistry suite.
• A multidisciplinary team, working alongside Dr. Richter, a CCRP-certified human physical therapist, a part-time acupuncturist and a part-time chiropractor.
• A thoughtful approach to practice, with an intentional pace that supports detailed case assessment, continuity of care and strong client relationships.

The right fit:

• A strong foundation in general practice, ideally through a completed one-year internship or approximately two years of postgraduate clinical experience.
• A genuine interest in integrative and holistic medicine, with curiosity and a willingness to learn.
• Strong client communication skills and an emphasis on education and shared decision-making.
• Sound clinical judgement and a collaborative approach to case management.
• A commitment to thoughtful, individualised patient care.
• An interest or experience in acupuncture, herbal medicine or physical rehabilitation would be particularly welcome.

You do not need existing integrative certification to join us. We’re interested in your clinical foundations, approach to care and enthusiasm for developing your skills.

Schedule: Our hospital is open Tuesday–Friday, 10 am–6 pm, and Saturday, 8 am–4 pm, with Sunday and Monday closed. A full-time, five-day schedule is preferred; a four-day, 10-hour schedule is open to discussion.
