Wiley University seeks an Associate Vice President for Student Development & Strategic Retention to serve as second-in-command in the Division of Student Development. Reporting to the Vice President, the AVP provides day-to-day leadership across student activities, career development, student development programming, and housing & residence life, ensuring these functions operate as a coordinated unit in service of student success and retention. The role pairs hands-on operational leadership with specialized Title IX expertise, and works in close partnership with the Dean of Students on student conduct, behavioral intervention, and welfare.
What you’ll do
• Lead and mentor a team of directors across student activities, career development, student programming, and housing/residence life
• Design and assess co-curricular and leadership development programs that advance student learning, belonging, and retention
• Provide strategic oversight of career development—coaching, internships, employer relations, and outcomes tracking
• Serve as a divisional Title IX resource, guiding compliance, training, and prevention education
• Drive divisional strategic planning, assessment, budgeting, and accreditation efforts
• Represent the Vice President and division at institutional meetings and events as delegated
