Associations Manager- Technology Advisory
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associations Manager – Technology Advisory based in the United States.
This is a revenue-focused partnerships role centered on building associations into a scalable channel for technology advisory services.
You will identify, develop, and close relationships with industry and professional associations whose members align with target markets.
Once partnerships are established, you will design programs that deliver meaningful value to members while creating qualified commercial opportunities.
You will own the partner relationships, program strategy, calendar, sponsorship investments, pipeline, and measurable results.
The role combines business development, alliance management, content strategy, and consultative selling in an enterprise technology environment.
You will work cross-functionally with marketing, advisory specialists, delivery teams, and business development to turn member engagement into tangible revenue.

Accountabilities
- Identify, prioritize, engage, and secure partnerships with industry and professional associations whose memberships align with target industries and client segments.
- Build compelling partnership propositions that demonstrate meaningful value for association members and negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with association executives, board members, committee chairs, and other senior stakeholders.
- Design a repeatable association program model that can be adapted to the specific needs and priorities of each partner.
- Develop programming such as educational series, webinars, assessments, executive briefings, co-branded content, events, and sponsorships.
- Own association program calendars, sponsorship commitments, budgets, and return on investment.
- Tailor programs to specific industries by understanding the operational challenges, priorities, and technology needs of each association's membership.
- Shape the substance, messaging, and sequencing of partner-facing content while coordinating with marketing, design, and internal subject-matter experts for production and technical depth.
- Educate business development, delivery, and advisory teams on active partnerships, available programs, member opportunities, and effective engagement strategies.
- Convert association engagement into qualified sales opportunities and closed business through strong consultative and relationship-based selling.
- Track pipeline and revenue attributable to individual associations, identify high-performing partnerships, and renegotiate, improve, or exit relationships that do not deliver sufficient value.
- Coordinate with marketing, alliances, business development, and advisory teams to ensure association programs reinforce broader go-to-market priorities.
- Continuously refine the channel strategy based on performance data, market feedback, member engagement, and commercial outcomes.
- Own measurable objectives related to associations signed, program development, sourced pipeline, and revenue generated through the channel.
- 5+ years of experience in channel or alliance development, strategic partnerships, association or membership programs, or business development within professional services, consulting, enterprise technology, or a related environment.
- Demonstrated success generating measurable revenue through strategic relationships, partnerships, programs, or channels, with the ability to provide evidence of commercial results.
- Direct sales experience is strongly preferred, particularly in technology, SaaS, professional services, or other complex B2B environments.
- Working knowledge of enterprise technologies such as ERP, CRM, HCM, BI, and AI, with enough technical fluency to have credible conversations with association leaders and their members.
- Strong understanding of at least one or more target industries and the ability to design programs around the real operational and technology challenges facing organizations in those sectors.
- Proven ability to build and scale partnership programs from initial outreach and negotiation through implementation, engagement, pipeline generation, and revenue.
- Strong program-management discipline and the ability to create repeatable frameworks rather than developing every partnership from scratch.
- Excellent executive presence, with confidence engaging association executives, boards, committee leaders, and senior business stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, writing, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-management skills.
- Commercially minded and comfortable being measured on pipeline, revenue, program performance, and return on investment.
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed, resilient, and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities and opportunities evolve quickly.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across marketing, alliances, business development, delivery, and advisory teams.
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, information technology, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Association management, alliance, partnership, or CRM certifications are a plus.
