About India Market Entry (IME):

India Market Entry (IME) is a leading market-entry and growth consulting organization helping global education companies establish and scale their presence in India. We work with 35+ international education brands across K-12, Higher Education, Early Years, Assessment, Publishing, and EdTech, supporting their growth through institutional sales, channel partnerships, and enrolment solutions.

Position Summary

IME has built a nationwide ecosystem of consultants, resellers, and referral partners — individual business owners and entrepreneurs in the education space who represent IME's portfolio in their markets.

The Assistant Manager – Channel Partnerships will be the day-to-day engagement engine for this ecosystem. Working closely with the Co-Founder, the role is responsible for staying in constant contact with IME's existing consultants and partners, generating and registering leads through them, keeping every partner active, and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.

This is an inside-sales-style role for someone who is genuinely comfortable speaking with entrepreneurs and independent business owners every day — people who run their own coaching centres, consultancies, bookshops, and education businesses — and who can convert those relationships into a steady flow of partner-generated business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner Engagement & Relationship Management (Core)

  • Own the day-to-day relationship with IME's existing consultants and partners across India.

  • Maintain a structured weekly calling and follow-up rhythm — every active partner is spoken to on a defined cadence.

  • Support the weekly EPG (Engage • Partner • Grow) engagement programme, driving attendance and follow-through.

  • Understand each partner's business, market, and capacity, and match IME's portfolio to their strengths.

  • Act as the partner's first point of contact for queries, escalations, and support needs.

2. Lead Generation Through Partners

  • Drive a consistent flow of partner-generated leads across IME's product portfolio.

  • Ensure every partner lead is registered promptly and accurately, with clear ownership.

  • Follow up with partners on open opportunities and nudge stalled conversations forward.

  • Coordinate timely handoffs of partner-generated leads to Institutional Sales, LSMs, and the Enrolments team, and keep partners informed of progress on their leads.

3. Partner Activation & Enablement

  • Ensure newly onboarded consultants and partners become active and revenue-generating quickly.

  • Conduct orientation sessions and portfolio walk-throughs so partners can position IME's complete range of products, not just individual titles.

  • Support partner webinars, product update sessions, and engagement initiatives.

  • Identify inactive or at-risk partners and run structured re-engagement efforts.

  • Provide support to new partner recruitment: assist with discovery conversations, onboarding coordination, and documentation for prospects identified by the GTM team. (Recruitment ownership sits with the senior Partnership function.)

4. PMS / CRM Discipline

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and current records in IME's Partnership Management System (PMS): partner information, lead registrations, pipeline stages, and activity logs.

  • Drive partner adoption of the PMS for lead registration and tracking.

  • Uphold high standards of CRM hygiene — no untracked conversations, no stale pipeline.

5. Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain partner-wise and product-wise views of partner-generated pipeline.

  • Prepare weekly partner engagement and lead-flow reports for leadership review.

  • Coordinate with Marketing on partner campaigns and communication, and with Operations/Finance on partner support and payout queries.

  • Support the validation and documentation of partner commissions and incentive payouts.

  • Relationship building and rapport with entrepreneur-type stakeholders

  • Telephonic and virtual selling; consultative conversations

  • Lead management, pipeline tracking, and CRM discipline

  • Follow-up rigour and organised working habits

  • Strong communication in English and Hindi

  • Reporting and basic analytics (spreadsheets, dashboards)

Requirements

  • Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related discipline.

    Experience

    • 3–5 years in inside sales, channel/partner engagement, franchise development, distributor coordination, or consultant network management.

    • Proven experience speaking with and selling to individual business owners and entrepreneurs — franchisees, education consultants, coaching centre owners, resellers, or similar profiles. This is the single most important requirement.

    • Experience in Education, EdTech, Publishing, or Assessment will be highly preferred.

    • Comfortable with high daily call volumes and a structured, CRM-driven working style.
