Asst Project Manager (Construction)
Summary
Assists a Project Manager in overseeing construction projects, coordinating contractors, tracking budgets, and ensuring safety compliance on-site.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Project Manager. Assist the Project Manager in managing certain section(s) of the project, as assigned by the Project Manager and shown in the organization chart.
- Co-ordinating with Main-contractor and sub-contractor on shop drawing, catalogue and technical submission.
- Attending main-contractor’s coordination and technical meetings
- Attending discussion and understanding of architect and consultans’s directions.
- Liaise and obtaining of quotation and technical date and suppliers.
- Monitoring of site installation progress and conduct inspection of variation works.
- Liaison with main-contractor and site staff for inspection.
- Updating of site progress report and submission of progress claim.
- Excution of company policy on safety measures and control on site.
- Meeting tight deadline and committed involvement of Authority inspection.
- Identify, rectification and handling over of defects after completion.
- Oversee project budgets and financial reporting, including forecasting and cost tracking.
Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma / Professional Certificate in structure/civil engineering or building services engineering.
- At least 2 years of working experience in metal roofing, structure or construction industry.
- Knowledge of local government safety requirements, rules and regulations.
- Possess own car.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
