ATE Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test programs and test methods using Java, Python, and C / C++ for SoC and memory testing.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts to improve test development, debugging, and data-analysis efficiency.
  • Develop test methods capable of supporting multi-device testing and high-volume production environments.
  • Analyze large volumes of test data and generate reports using Python, Java, Bash scripting, Excel, and other data-analysis tools.
  • Develop, validate, and debug MBIST, MLST, MFAT, and MRET test methodologies.
  • Develop production test programs for wafer sort, final test, and RMA/reject analysis.
  • Perform Vmin, Fmax, and Shmoo characterization; analyze results and prepare characterization reports.
  • Debug digital and memory test failures using error maps, timing diagrams, register/address-data analysis, and Shmoo analysis.
  • Develop and implement memory repair and low-voltage memory test solutions.
  • Perform correlation analysis between different memory test methodologies and generate technical reports.
  • Develop and implement Test Time Reduction (TTR) initiatives, including test-flow and wait-time optimization.
  • Support test-program integration, simulation, and validation prior to production release.
  • Review test-method code for functionality, coding standards, and industry-standard practices.
  • Maintain program revisions and source-code control using Git.
  • Support RMA device debug, failure analysis, and production-test issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in validation, ATE test development, product engineering, or related areas. Experience designing testability / diagnosability features into products (e.g., telemetry,self-test hooks, debug interfaces) in partnership with design teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience in ATE test-program and test-method development. Experience in production test-program development, validation, and release.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and C++; Knowledge of C programming and Python scripting is advantageous. Knowledge of open-source tools commonly used for manufacturing test, system bring-up, and hardware diagnostics
  • Experience with Git, Linux/Bash scripting, and software development tools.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to identify the root causes of test-program and characterization issues.
  • Experience with Advantest V93K / SmarTest or equivalent ATE platforms.
  • Practical experience with MBIST, MLST, MFAT, and/or MRET testing.
  • Good understanding of SoC digital testing, memory testing, DFT concepts, and test vectors.
  • Hands-on experience with PVT characterization,Vmin, Fmax, and Shmoo analysis.
  • Experience in test-pattern debugging using error maps and timing analysis.
  • Knowledge of JTAG and AMBA protocols is advantageous.
