Attender
The Attender plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the healthcare facility by supporting administrative and clinical departments through physical assistance and basic logistical tasks. This includes transporting documents, assisting with patient movement under supervision, maintaining cleanliness in administrative areas, and ensuring timely support for operational needs. The role requires a commitment to safety, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
The post holder will:
- Assist with internal movement of documents, files, and parcels between departments.
- Support patient movement within the facility under supervision (non-medical assistance only).
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in non-clinical areas such as waiting rooms and offices.
- Provide refreshments and arrange meeting rooms for staff and guests as required.
- Assist in organizing and arranging furniture or equipment for events or facility changes.
- Deliver internal mail and communications reliably and confidentially.
- Escort visitors or patients to designated areas when required.
- Refill office and pantry supplies and inform supervisors of any shortages.
- Dispose of waste properly according to facility hygiene protocols.
- Support facility maintenance requests by coordinating with administration staff.
- Ensure proper stocking and distribution of stationery and office supplies.
- Assist in inventory checks and restocking activities as directed.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from administrative or clinical staff efficiently.
- Maintain a polite, respectful, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
- Follow safety and infection control protocols as per hospital policy.
Education and Certification
High school education preferred but not mandatory.
Basic English or Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Training in infection control or safety protocols is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills
Understanding of workplace hygiene, safety, and basic logistics.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Basic organizational and time management skills.
Polite, courteous, and customer-service oriented behavior.
Awareness of confidentiality and sensitivity in healthcare settings.

Experience
