Attorney-Adviser (General)
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0JAAA US ARMY COUNTERINTELLIGENCE COMMAND. You will serve as an Operational legal advisor to the Commander, United States Army Counterintelligence Command (USACIC), and subordinate USACIC organizations.
Provide administrative and national security law counsel to the Commander, command group, and subordinate units, including interactions with oversight bodies (Army Staff, Congressional/Executive committees).
Prepare and coordinate legal opinions regarding fiscal law and authorities to conduct operations under the FAR, DFAR, AFAR, and in compliance with federal regulations and policies related to intelligence funds
Integrate legal support into USACIC operational oversight processes and mechanisms.
Develop and deliver training on CI legal authorities, regulations, and policies, including cyberspace applications.
Analyze new statutes, proposed legislation, and existing DoD/federal policies affecting CI and cyber authorities.
Deliver expert legal support and oversight for multiple Army special access programs.
