The Audio Video (AV) Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of professional audio-visual systems. The role involves working internal teams to ensure successful execution of AV projects while maintaining high-quality standards and timely project delivery.

Requirements

  • Install, configure, and commission professional AV systems, including audio, video, control, and networking equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of AV equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues in AV systems.
  • Read and interpret AV system drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Configure DSPs, video processors, matrix switchers, and control systems.
  • Test system performance and ensure all equipment functions as per design specifications.
  • Ensure proper cable management and adherence to industry installation standards.
  • Train end users on the operation of installed AV systems.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and site regulations.
  • Support preventive maintenance (PMC/AMC) activities and emergency service calls.
  • Strong knowledge of professional AV equipment.
  • Understanding of HDMI, SDI, HDBaseT, AV over IP, and fibre optic technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, switches).
  • Experience with microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, DSPs, video walls, LED displays, projectors, and conferencing systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
