Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for providing entry-level support in the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual (AV) systems across classrooms, meeting rooms, and event spaces. Assists with troubleshooting AV hardware and software issues, documents incidents, and ensures reliable user experiences. Supports video conferencing platforms, projection systems, and digital audio tools under guidance from senior staff. Contributes to equipment inventory accuracy and user training to enhance technology adoption.

Essential Functions

• Sets up and operates AV equipment for small meetings, classrooms, and events.

• Provides Tier 1 support for video conferencing, projectors, displays, microphones, and sound systems.

• Troubleshoots basic AV issues and escalates complex incidents to senior technicians or vendors.

• Monitors AV systems during operation to ensure consistent performance.

• Assists with preventative maintenance and cleaning of AV hardware.

• Documents incidents, resolutions, and inventory updates in ticketing and asset management systems.

• Provides basic instruction to end users on equipment functionality.

• Supports AV staff in quality assurance testing and process documentation.

• Learns and applies emerging AV technologies under supervision.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirement: 0-2 years of experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
