Summary

Conducts hearing evaluations and provides treatment for patients of all ages, including newborns to geriatrics, and counsels patients and families on results and care plans.

Performs audiological evaluations utilizing appropriate diagnostic tests to identify individuals with hearing loss. Provides rehabilitation/habilitation of individuals with hearing impairment. Evaluates and treats patients ranging in age from newborns through geriatrics. Counsels patients and/or their families as to test results and recommended treatment plans. Communicates results and management plans orally and in writing to physicians, educational planners, other health care professionals and federal agencies. Ensures quality patient care by adhering to patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Doctoral degree in Audiology. Licensure required as an Audiologist by the State of New Jersey. Maintains clinical knowledge by attending continuing education activities. Requires analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail and problem resolution. Must possess strong customer service, communication, organizational, & interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatrics. Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA preferred.
