Description of the role and purpose of the job\: The audit AI deployment team leads the adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to transform how audits are executed. The successful candidate will join the team responsible for this transformation and help identify opportunities, deploy solutions, drive adoption and remove barriers to change, enabling sustainable transformation across the audit practice. Immediate Responsibilities Project Management and Execution Support the delivery of the audit technology and AI portfolio by ensuring initiatives are effectively planned, coordinated and executed. Maintain focus on achieving intended outcomes, balancing emerging opportunities with completion of existing commitments. Take ownership of key workstreams and contribute directly to the successful delivery of projects. Change Management, Adoption and Transformation Identify barriers preventing the adoption of emerging technologies and AI-enabled ways of working. Design and implement interventions that remove these barriers and drive sustainable behavioural change. Coordinate and support the network of AI Change Champions across Africa, enabling consistent adoption and embedding of technology within engagement teams and business units. Stakeholder Engagement and Influence Build trusted relationships with partners, directors, managers and engagement teams across the firm. Influence stakeholders without formal authority to advance strategic objectives, gather requirements, prioritise opportunities and drive adoption of emerging technologies. Act as a visible advocate for the transformation of audit through technology. Reporting, Impact Measurement and Insight Monitor adoption, usage, effectiveness and business outcomes associated with AI solutions. Produce structured reporting for leadership, highlighting progress, barriers, opportunities and realised value. Use data and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities to improve adoption and accelerate transformation. Training, Enablement and Capability Building Design and deliver enablement programmes that move beyond awareness and training towards sustained behavioural change. Equip audit professionals at all levels with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills required to leverage AI-enabled solutions effectively within engagements. Engagement-Level Transformation Support Support engagement teams in reimagining how audits are executed using emerging technologies. Facilitate workshops and practical working sessions that embed advanced AI use cases into audit workflows and drive measurable improvements in audit quality, efficiency and insight. Innovation and Experimentation Actively identify, evaluate and experiment with emerging technologies, AI capabilities and innovative approaches to audit execution. Develop leading practices, pilot new solutions and scale successful innovations across the firm.

Evaluate opportunities based on strategic fit, potential impact, scalability and ease of adoption. Growth area - Financial Oversight and Value Realisation Support management of AI-related investments and budgets. Monitor utilisation, effectiveness and return on investment to ensure resources are directed towards initiatives with the greatest transformational impact.

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience)\: A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in auditing, accounting, information systems, technology, business, change management or a related field. At least five year’s relevant professional experience, including experience in audit, technology-enabled transformation, change management, project delivery or a related environment. Demonstrated experience supporting or leading the implementation and adoption of technology-enabled solutions across multiple teams or stakeholder groups. Demonstrated experience contributing to a team that led organisational change through technology adoption. Proven experience in managing projects from planning through to implementation, monitoring and reporting. Practical understanding of audit processes, professional services environments or other regulated and risk-sensitive environments. Ability to analyse adoption, usage or performance data and translate findings into clear management insights and recommended actions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex technology concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Willingness and ability to work across African countries and cultures, including travel where required. |
