A well-established and growing professional services firm with a strong presence in the Irish market is seeking to appoint an Audit Director to join its Dublin Audit & Assurance team.
With a long-standing reputation and part of a wider international network, the firm supports a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients. The business has evolved into a modern, advisory-led practice, combining technical expertise with a people-first approach.
The Opportunity
This opportunity will suit an experienced Director or a Senior Manager ready to step into a leadership role.
Working closely with the Partner group, the successful candidate will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead complex engagements, and play a key role in the continued growth and development of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex audit engagements across a diverse client base
- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, building long-term relationships
- Work closely with Partners on strategic and operational initiatives
- Oversee the full audit lifecycle from planning through to completion
- Review technical work, ensuring compliance with FRS 102, IFRS and auditing standards
- Support business development activity including proposals and client growth initiatives
- Lead, mentor and develop audit teams, managing performance and resource planning
- Contribute to continuous improvement across processes, quality and delivery
Candidate Profile
- ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
- Operating at Senior Manager or Director level within practice
- Strong technical audit knowledge including FRS 102 and IFRS
- Experience managing complex and multi-sector audit portfolios
- Proven leadership and team development capability
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify and support growth opportunities
- Strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
