The Client

Our client is one of Ireland’s fastest-growing advisory firms, specialising in consulting, audit, and tax services to leading domestic and international mid-market clients. They work closely with a broad portfolio ranging from entrepreneurial growth businesses to multinational organisations across multiple sectors.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans within their Audit & Assurance department, our client is seeking to appoint an Audit Director. This is a senior leadership role with a fast-track route to Responsible Individual (RI) status and Partner level. You will inherit a high-quality, ready-to-go client portfolio, lead a strong audit team, and play a key role in driving the department’s strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a significant client portfolio, ensuring delivery of quality audit and advisory services within agreed timeframes and budgets

• Drive business development initiatives, including cross-selling opportunities and leading tender processes for new clients

• Provide strong technical guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with audit standards and best practice

• Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing audit team, supporting their technical, commercial, and personal development

• Oversee departmental KPIs and contribute to strategic planning for the business unit and wider firm

• Maintain and strengthen trusted client relationships while identifying new commercial opportunities

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified with significant senior-level practice experience in a Top 20 firm

• Proven track record of leading teams and managing multiple assignments across a diverse client base

• Strong technical expertise in audit, with excellent communication, leadership, and commercial skills

• Ambitious, commercially minded, and motivated by a clear path to Partner
