Audit Quality Senior Manager – Financial Services (Insurance Focus)

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

Due to continued growth and a focus on best practice in audit quality, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager to join a leading professional services firm in Dublin. This role has been created in response to an expanding financial services audit portfolio and ongoing quality and methodology initiatives.

The position will play a key role in driving audit excellence, with a particular focus on the insurance sector. The successful candidate will work closely with partners, senior management, and the wider audit quality team to enhance the firm’s audit quality framework and ensure alignment with regulatory and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on complex insurance auditing issues

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and audit standards, ensuring timely communication of changes to relevant teams

• Conduct real-time assurance reviews of in-progress insurance audits

• Support the development and implementation of audit methodology enhancements

• Work collaboratively with audit teams and internal specialists to ensure audit quality objectives are met

• Identify areas of non-compliance and support the implementation of remedial actions

• Contribute to root cause analysis and ensure recommendations are followed through

• Assist in the delivery of technical training, audit quality briefings, and workshops

• Liaise with senior leadership on the outcomes of quality assurance reviews

• Support firmwide audit quality and risk management initiatives across the insurance audit portfolio

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience

• Strong technical knowledge of insurance audit and financial reporting standards

• Proven experience in a financial services audit environment, ideally at Senior Manager level or equivalent

• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders

• High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining audit quality

• Strong organisational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
