Our client, a leading economic development organisation in Nigeria, is seeking an experienced Audit/Tax Manager to oversee tax management, internal audit activities, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and other statutory obligations
• Prepare and review tax computations, returns, and supporting documentation
• Provide tax advisory, planning, and risk mitigation support
• Coordinate responses to tax audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries
• Develop and execute annual internal audit plans
• Evaluate internal controls, risk management frameworks, and business processes
• Identify control gaps and monitor implementation of audit recommendations
• Support external audits and statutory reporting requirements
• Prepare management reports on tax exposures, audit findings, and compliance matters

Requirements

• Minimum of 8–10 years’ progressive experience in taxation, audit, and financial compliance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage
• ACA, ACCA, ANAN, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification
• CITN certification is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations
• Experience in internal audit, risk management, and corporate governance
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
