Auditor
The Office of Inspector General is seeking early career Auditors. As an Auditor, you will perform audits, evaluations, and/or special projects in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), inspection and evaluation standards, and Office of Audits policies and procedures. .
In this role as an Auditor, you will be responsible for: Analyzing program data using quantitative and qualitative research methods and techniques, such as sampling, questionnaires, interviews, and analyses of computer-processed data to assess the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and metrics. Preparing and maintaining audit workpapers, such as analytical summaries and documentation of interviews, in accordance with Office of Audits policies and procedures. Participating in briefings with OIG senior leadership and in interviews with agency officials to collect information and present findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Identifying and applying relevant laws, regulations, policies, prior audit reports, or other pertinent documents and publications applicable to the assigned audit, evaluation, or special project. Assisting the team lead, audit managers, and other senior leaders in a full range of activities from planning and designing audits, evaluations, or special projects, to reporting findings and results orally and/or in writing.
