Auto Painters Helper
About Us: We are a busy, high-volume collision center in San Diego looking for a dedicated Automotive Painter Helper / Prepper to join our team. If you have a passion for cars, a sharp eye for detail, and want to grow your skills alongside master painters, this is the place for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prep Vehicles: Wipe down, mask, and tape vehicles to prepare them for the paint booth.
- Surface Perfection: Apply primer, block sand, and buff/polish finished paint jobs.
- Maintain Equipment: Keep spray guns, mixing rooms, and the paint booth clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a body shop or auto detailing environment (preferred).
- Strong understanding of sanding, masking, and body filler techniques.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Rate: $22 - $25/hour (Depending on experience)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday (Overtime available)
- Benefits: Health Insurance, 401K, Holidays and Sick pay after 90 days
