Creates detailed shop drawings for construction projects using AutoCAD and BIM tools, ensuring structural accuracy and managing contractor approvals in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
You will produce detailed shop drawings using 2D/3D AutoCAD and BIM tools, applying structural engineering knowledge to support construction projects. You will independently manage drawing approvals with contractors and collaborate effectively within teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Use 2D and 3D AutoCAD to create accurate and detailed shop drawings for construction projects
- Apply BIM knowledge to enhance drawing precision and coordination
- Utilize structural engineering expertise to ensure drawings meet technical standards
- Produce shop drawings and actively follow up with main contractors until drawings receive approval
- Work independently to manage tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support project goals
- Adapt to and perform well in a fast-paced work environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in roofing works is preferred to enhance project relevance
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in structural engineering or related drafting field
Other Information
- Working hours: Mondays, 9am to 6pm with minimal overtime
- Must be able to start immediately
