Automation and digitalization engineer
The Automation & Digitalization Engineer is responsible for driving automation, optimization, and digital transformation across factory operations. This role requires a technically strong, hands‑on engineer with deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, engineering project management, and modern automated/digital environments.
The position plays a key role in simplifying manual work, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the selection, implementation, and integration of suitable automation and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate and optimize existing manufacturing processes to reduce manual operations.
- Identify and implement digitalization opportunities across production.
- Select, specify, and order equipment based on process needs.
- Work with suppliers and global engineering teams to evaluate technical solutions.
- Lead or support end-to-end implementation of automation projects.
- Prepare technical documentation and layouts (AutoCAD).
- Integrate data and digital tools for process visibility (e.g., Power BI).
- Ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
- Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets and plant system contracts.
- Ensure operational continuity by resolving technical issues with minimal downtime.
- Contribute to site automation/digitalization roadmap and prepare AOP inputs.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related technical field.
Strong electrotechnical foundation is mandatory.
Engineering experience within manufacturing or industrial facilities.
Proven work in project teams (project engineering, implementation of engineering solutions).
Experience in automated and digitalized production environments.
