Summary

Assembles and wires automation equipment parts in a factory setting, following blueprints and safety standards while training others and ensuring quality control.

This position requires assembling many machine parts according to instructions and within a specific time frame, while using the appropriate tools and/or equipment according to safety and quality standards, as well as carrying out any other duties directed by the Leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately perform the assembly and wiring portion of the Automation build process.
  • Train other employees how to build the subsections of Automation Equipment.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area within the specified time frame.
  • Perform adjustments needed to ensure factory settings and specifications using schematics and/or engineering documentation.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • May be required to climb using a safety harness or ladder up to 16' feet tall.
  • May be required to work beyond normal business hours when necessary.
  • Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, ISO policies and good manufacturing practices.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised at times.
  • Must adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE.

PAY RANGE

  • $20.00-$25.00

SCHEDULE

  • Monday - Thursday
  • 6:45am - 5:30pm

  • Lead Person
  • Department Supervisor
  • Production Manager

SUBORDINATE STAFF

  • None

KNOWLEDGE

  • Sit Down Forklift and Overhead Crane experience is highly preferred.
  • Be able to use the metric system.
  • Must be a good communicator and listener.
  • Must be able to use Hand and Power Tools.
  • Must have previous heavy equipment/ machinery assembly experience.
  • Must know metric measurements.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must know metric measurements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, daily
  • Walk and stand on cement flooring throughout a 10 hour shift
  • Use fine motor skills to tighten bolts and wire.
  • Constant bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, twisting at the waist, reaching above the head & reaching outward and kneeling.
