Automation Engineer (Contract)
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robotic systems and automated machinery for semiconductor manufacturing processes using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
- Create detailed designs for electromechanical components, assemblies, and integrated automation systems.
- Develop, test, and optimize robot control software and automation algorithms.
- Support machine integration, commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Configure, program, and support industrial robotic systems and automation equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver automation projects on schedule.
- Provide technical support during equipment installation and implementation activities.
- Travel regularly between Singapore and Malaysia to support project execution and customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automation, robotics, machine design, or semiconductor equipment engineering.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and automated machinery design.
- Experience in electromechanical system design and integration.
- Knowledge of robotics, motion control systems, and automation software development.
- Experience with industrial robot programming and integration is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time between Singapore and Malaysia
