Automation Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial client, is looking for an Automation Engineer.

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks using JavaScript and modern testing tools such as Playwright and/or Cypress. This role is pivotal in improving test coverage, increasing release confidence, and supporting continuous delivery through reliable automation practices. The candidate will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and execute test strategies, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Build and enhance end-to-end, integration, regression, and smoke test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and analyze test results to improve test reliability.
