Automation Engineer - Professional
Summary
Build and maintain automated test frameworks for payment systems using Java/Python and tools like Selenium or Playwright, integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks and libraries
- Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts (UI, API, integration, performance)
- Create and maintain test data, environments, and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
- Analyse test results, identify root causes, and work with developers to triage and resolve defects
- Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and efficiency through metrics and tooling
- Stay current with industry trends and tools; evaluate and recommend new automation technologies
Who are we looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript) and experience with at least one automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium)
- Solid experience with API testing (RESTful/SOAP) and tools (Postman, REST Assured, Newman, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and version control (Git)
- Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks, data-driven testing, and test utilities
- Understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
