Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and access APIs to understand structures and endpoints without relying on screen scraping
  • Reverse engineer web APIs using tools like Burp Suite, Postman, or Fiddler
  • Write robust, scalable code to extract data from public APIs and transform it into common data models
  • Design and implement API integrations leveraging HTML, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP/S
  • Apply understanding of REST APIs and authentication mechanisms like JWT, SAML, and OAuth
  • Develop solutions to handle bot detection techniques such as request throttling and CAPTCHA mitigation
  • Take ownership throughout the entire SDLC, including QA, build, deployment, and support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of software development experience as a full‑stack engineer
  • Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with agile development and Git
  • Ability to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly
