Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and access APIs to understand structures and endpoints without relying on screen scraping
- Reverse engineer web APIs using tools like Burp Suite, Postman, or Fiddler
- Write robust, scalable code to extract data from public APIs and transform it into common data models
- Design and implement API integrations leveraging HTML, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP/S
- Apply understanding of REST APIs and authentication mechanisms like JWT, SAML, and OAuth
- Develop solutions to handle bot detection techniques such as request throttling and CAPTCHA mitigation
- Take ownership throughout the entire SDLC, including QA, build, deployment, and support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of software development experience as a full‑stack engineer
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with agile development and Git
- Ability to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly
